Our butt jointed cylinder boxes, also known as ‘cardboard tubes’, blend functionality with hugely appealing aesthetics. These tubes feature an inner spigot, sometimes referred to as the ‘shoulder’. This is exposed from the lid or base, resulting in a satisfying finish when assembled.

A huge benefit to making the cylinder boxes bespoke means that we can produce any specified lid height. This gives an added benefit in either finishing the spigot as exposed or covered. If you have printing or important branding on your spigot, then make it visible. If it’s not top of your priority list, cover it. A nice finish is blending the design across the lid and base for aesthetics. Easily achievable for our in-house artwork experts.
Straight Cut or Rolled Spigot
There are two variants for how we finish the butt jointed cylinder boxes. The first is a simple straight cut spigot which some consider to be the neater or the two options. The second is the rolled spigot option which many consider to be the more premium option. It’s really personal preference and we like to offer the choice.
